About Us

RBS Morgans was formed by a merger of Morgan Stockbroking Limited, one of Australia's premier retail brokers, and stockbroking arm of RBS Australia (then ABN AMRO) in October 2000.

The merger created Australia's largest national full-service retail stockbroking and financial planning organisation with over 300,000 clients, 490 advisors and 840 staff operating from 53 offices in all states and territories.

The RBS group is a large international banking and financial services company. Headquartered in Edinburgh, the Group operates in the United Kingdom, Europe, the Americas and Asia, serving more than 40 million customers. The Group provides a wide range of products and services to personal, commercial and large corporate and institutional customers through its two principal subsidiaries, The Royal Bank of Scotland and NatWest, as well as through a number of other well known brands including, Citizens, Ulster Bank, Coutts, Direct Line and Churchill.

History

Morgans can trace its origins back to 1937, when founding partner Peter Alroe joined Paul A.& A.P. Hoge.

As one of Australia's largest privately owned stockbroking firms, Morgans since 1991, has been owned by its management and staff who work day-to-day in the business.

Morgans evolved into one of Australia's largest, independent stockbroking and financial planning firms, and had one of the most highly regarded team of corporate finance professionals. This provided clients with investment opportunities in some of Australia's best-managed companies as well as opportunities to participate in new floats and capital raisings.

Head office is in Brisbane and to meet its corporate goal of providing professional, effective and timely advice to clients, Morgans regional network of offices throughout Australia has continued to expand.
